NJFOP President Robert W. Fox addressed attendees of the Law Enforcement Labor Summit today. The two-day Summit, being held in Las Vegas, Nevada, is sponsored by The Riverside California Police Officers Association, The National Fraternal Order of Police, and The National Troopers Coalition. This event has drawn 215 participants from 26 states around the country.
Because pensions and benefits for Law Enforcement Officers nationwide are being attacked, this summit is an opportunity for Law Enforcement leaders to discuss the issues and determine solutions.
In his remarks before Summit participants, NJFOP President Fox applauded Superior Court Judge Mary Jacobson for her ruling that Governor Chris Christie broke the law he signed by cutting $1.57B from a promised pension payment.
President Fox assured the group that the NJFOP will continue its aggressive fight to protect our pensions. Fox stands with New Jersey labor leaders, including NJEA, as part of a Coalition that is strategizing to protect our members’ pensions.
