    TRENTON) -Last month, we reported that an FOP-initiated piece of legislation (S596/A3422) that would allow certain public employees continue to receive fair compensation after being forced out of work because of injuries resulting from being attacked while supervising inmates or detainees had advanced to the Governor’s desk.   • Law now mandates State to payment quarterly payments

    NJFOP is pleased to announce that legislation became law today requiring the state to make required quarterly contributions to the pension fund rather than delaying these payments to the end of the fiscal year. Legislation sponsored by Senate President Stephen Sweeney and Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto sets up a payment schedule based upon the amount placed in each fiscal budget for pension funds.
